Looking For Ear Ache Information?

A common cold, chest infection or sore throat virus can travel up through the tubes that run between the nasal passages, throat and the inner ear.

The main causes of pain in the ears are:-

  1. An infection usually caused by the common cold virus.
  2. Wax on the eardrum.
  3. Small children could have an object lodged in the inner ear.

Ear ache is most common in children and during cold weather.

Keeping your ears warm will help to prevent infections from taking hold. Keeping your nasal passages warm and avoiding people who have colds, can stop you from getting a cold in the first place.

If an infection persists or becomes worse, consult your doctor as you may require antibiotics.
